Danny's Galletes

Save your appetite for Phil's Brother-in-law's cheese and ham filled galletes!

Ingredients

For the Gallete dough

  • 250g buckwheat flour

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 tsp vegetable oil

  • 250ml sparkling water

  • 250ml milk

  • 0,5 tsp baking powder

  • 0,5 tsp salt


For the filling

  • 500g Gouda cheese (grated)

  • 500g deli ham ( in small cubes)

  • 200g pepperoni peppers (in chunks)

  • Curry powder

 

 

Method

​

  • Mix the dough ingredients all together in a bowl and let it sit for 2 hours.


  • Put your galette maker on medium heat.


  • For one galette place one big scoop in the middle of the galette plate and distibute it evenly thin all over the plate.


  • After the first flip of the galette, place cheese, ham, peppers and curry powder on top and then fold the sides carefully in.


  • Fry the galette wrap from the top and the bottom side, so that it's nicely sealed and the cheese is melted.


  • Repeat for the rest!

Good to know

Get some really high quality ham and cheese. The more flavour they have, the better. Don't worry too much if the first galletes don't look great. It is a skill, that requires practise to master and the galettes are edible even if they have some holes!
