Currywurst (Sauce)
Sometimes it has got to be a Currywurst. This sauce lifts it up to be worth spending the calories.

Ingredients

40g red onion (very finely diced)
1 garlic glove (very finely diced)
1 red cilli (finely choped)
2 tsp brown sugar
25g tomato paste
2 Tbsp rice vinegar
400g tomato puree
2 tsp soy sauce
0,5 tsp tumeric
1 tsp smoked paprika powder
1 tsp curry powder
1 Tbsp runny honey
1 cinnamon stick
Method
​

Fry the onion, garlic and chili in a small pot with some olive oil
Add the sugar and let it caramelize
Add the tomato paste and fry it as well
Use the vinegar to clean the pot
Add the tomato puree and the spices
Let it sit for 30 mins on very low heat
Season with salt and black pepper
Push through a sieve to get a smooth sauce

Good to know
Next time: Try apple vinegar and orange juice. Maybe coke. Need more flavour and fruityness
